Samone Moore, Clinical Intern is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Social Work at North Carolina Central University. Samone received her Bachelor of Science in Rehabilitation Studies with a concentration in addictions from Winston-Salem State University.
Samone has experience working with a diverse array of clients dealing with substance use and mental health concerns in a variety of settings to include shelters, inpatient hospitals, and community substance use/justice involved facilities.
Samone’s clinical interests include working with couples navigating infidelity, as well as individuals and couples exploring polyamory, swinging, and other forms of non-monogamy. She also has specific interest in concerns related to desire/libido discrepancies and sexual pain.
Samone is a part of the STAAR Initiative, CSWC’s program that provides quality sex therapy services at affordable rates. Samone sees clients in our Durham office and via telehealth.

Work Philosophy
With her background in social work, Samone is deeply passionate about advocacy and social justice, particularly in the areas of reproductive rights and sexual health. She is dedicated to challenging stigma around sex and sexual health and incorporates a sex-positive approach into her work with clients.
Samone believes that clients are the experts in their own lives and experiences and that her role is to help guide and support them. She strives to provide a safe, collaborative, and non-judgemental space for them to express their concerns and desires openly and honestly.
Personal Interests
In her free time Samone enjoys crocheting jackets, scarves, hats and other wearable items. She also enjoys reading and watching true crime documentaries.
When time permits, Samone loves to travel! Her favorite domestic vacation was in New Orleans where she enjoyed the food, music and culture.
