Coleman Arehart
Clinical Intern
(he/him)
Coleman Arehart is a clinical intern at CSWC who provides sex therapy services through our STAAR Initiative. Coleman is working toward his Master’s of Social Work degree at NC State University. His participation in the STAAR Initiative allows him to provide high-quality, affordable sex therapy services to clients who may face financial barriers, while gaining valuable clinical experience at CSWC.
Prior to joining CSWC, Coleman obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Communications from William Peace University and recently completed an internship with the CARES Program on NCSU’s campus. He has three years of experience as a health and wellness coach with HealthyGamer, helping young adults with a variety of wellness topics, including sexuality in the context of our modern age of technology. He also has over five years of experience with esports coaching.
While working with college aged students in gaming, Coleman realized the impact of stigma and modern social narratives on sexuality. He feels inspired to dig deeper into how he can make a positive impact on those who struggle with sex in our modern age. Coleman is an LGBTQ+ affirming therapist and is passionate about helping others break down stigma to explore their authentic desires and identity.
In his free time, Coleman loves playing volleyball, pickleball, as well as rollerblading, photography and video games! He enjoys having a balance of fitness, artistic expression, competition, and exploration – especially when community is involved.
