Sex therapy is similar to seeing a therapist/psychologist for your general mental health, but a sex therapist has more knowledge and experience discussing sex with clients than other therapists. Sex therapy can be highly beneficial as it provides a unique space to openly discuss important issues such as sex and sexuality without fear of judgment.
Typical therapy sessions last 45-60 minutes and are spent discussing the client’s concerns in the context of their life.
Specific therapeutic modalities we offer include:
– Individual Therapy
– Family Therapy
– Relationship/Couples Therapy
– Group Therapy
Programs and Workshops include:
– Quarterly Community Education Events
– Support Groups and Community Outreach
– Parental Sex Education
– Coming soon: Comprehensive and Age-Appropriate Sex Education for Youth
Therapists at CSWC are in network with a variety of insurance carriers. We will also file out of network claims for clients who choose to use their out of network benefits.

We understand that the cost of sex therapy can be a barrier to treatment, especially for those who do not have health insurance or lack behavioral health coverage. The STAAR Initiative provides clients who are uninsured or underinsured with an affordable option for sex therapy.
