Melissa Huff

Clinical Intern
(she/her)

As one of CSWC’s clinical interns, Melissa Huff provides accessible, high-quality sex therapy services through our STAAR Initiative. She is currently pursuing her Master of Social Work at NC State University and is gaining hands-on clinical experience at CSWC by serving clients who may otherwise face financial barriers to therapy.

Melissa earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Spanish from UNC Charlotte. She recently completed a clinical internship at North Carolina Recovery Support Services, where she supported individuals on their recovery journeys. She was drawn to CSWC for its inclusive culture and its focus on specialized sex therapy services.

An LGBTQ+ affirming therapist, Melissa strives to create a safe, welcoming environment for clients to explore sensitive or “taboo” topics, recognizing the cultural and societal stigma that often surrounds sexuality—especially in the South.

Outside of work, Melissa enjoys hot yoga, hiking, and spending time in nature. She’s also an avid gamer (big Pokémon and Fortnite fan!) and an enthusiastic reader, especially of the ACOTAR series.
